Bennington Lake8:00 a.m.

The summer birds are nesting again at Bennington Lake.  Take a morning walk around the lake with Rodger and me to look for western wood peewees, house wrens, yellow-breasted chats, Bullock’s orioles, yellow warblers and more.  We have seen as many as 50 species this time of year on the trails so it promises to be a fun outing.

Wildflowers in the Blues

Priscilla Dauble will lead our last field trip of the year.  She will take us on an all-day excursion into the Blues to look at the beautiful flowering plants that bloom during the summer months in the mountains.  Be sure to bring a camera and expect to see some spectacular scenery as well as wildflowers.  Of course we will also see birds so bring your binoculars along too.  Pack a lunch, bring lots of water and plan to do a little hiking.
